I don't know how to build a gui only version (all my experiments with
configure --without-x --without-python --without-board3d --without-gtk
and similar failed to compile.
But ShowAutoMove() in play.c is wrapped in a test of GTK and fX,
neither of which appears to be necessary. Try the current cvs version
gnubg -t
certainly now displays the moves.
