I actually don't like any program to add any untyped extension. Maybe
because
I'm a control freak. I really hate it when I'm sitting on a machine,
maybe a
public computer at the library or the internet café, with Notepad as the
only
text editor available, typing html documents and then then you file gets
saved
as file.html.txt.
My vote goes to "no".

Just as an aside, to avoid the problem described when using Notepad:
1) File --> Save as...
2) click on the drop-down menu where it says 'Text documents', and
select 'All Files *.*'
3) Save the extension you desire and it will be respected.
