no it does not.  Test #16 is the only one which fails.

In fact, there is a development version 2.5.1 which has this issue fixed.

To get it, use cvs like this

        $ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvs login
        (Logging in to address@hidden)
        CVS password:
        $ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvs co grep

[just hit <Enter> at the password prompt]

It's not available on alpha.gnu.org, sorry.

But the files src/dfa.* has not changed, so you probably still need the
Philip's fix to get it compiled on HPUX.
