No need to worry.  My understanding is that if a regex implementation
conforms to POSIX 1003.2-1992, it continues to conform to POSIX
1003.1-2001.  I never have found an implementation that completely
conformed to 1003.2-1992 on nontrivial locales, though.

Now that the 2001 version is out I hope I never have to worry about
the 1992 version's misfeatures.
