Is it safe to assume that ddrescue 1.22 is the latest stable version?
I think so.
I haven't needed to rescue anything in a while and I note there is now a Graphical User Interface for ddrescue called DDRescue-GUI. That looks like fun. Any caveats if I try it? Is it safe to assume I can do rdisk recovery using the GUI?
I do not remember any issues with DDRescue-GUI (but I have never used it personally). Make sure to use a versiĆ³n of DDRescue-GUI compatible with ddrescue 1.22.
