   Hello,
   I'm having an issue with hostname and "hostname --help" told me to report
   anomalies to this e-mail address so here i am.
   My problem is that hostname does not accept options anymore. The only option
   it takes is "--help". When I type hostname --help, i got this :
$ hostname --help
Usage: hostname [NOM]
   ou: hostname OPTION
Afficher le nom du poste (hostname) du système courant.
      --help      afficher l'aide-mémoire
      --version afficher le nom et la version du logiciel
Rapporter toutes anomalies à [1]<address@hidden>.

   For every other options, i got :
$ hostname -f
hostname: invalid option -- 'f'
Pour en savoir davantage, faites: « hostname --help ».

   I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 and it's up to date. My hostname version is 2.95 and
   my coreutils version is 6.10-6ubuntu1.
   I've been looking for an answer on forums and websites but nobody had a
   clue.
   Thank you for reading me.
