I've applied that.
However, I have my doubts about allowing -a0.
Do you see any practical value in that?
It makes split degenerate to `cp', but with the
limitation that it fails if there is too much input.
Hmm... when now that I've written the preceding sentence,
I *can* imagine a use for it :-)
I've fixed the test (tests/misc/split-fail), too.
