How about if we just remove the warning instead? It annoys me too.
I often use hard links to symlinks. (I know they're not portable,
so I don't need a warning. :-)
Solaris 'ln' doesn't warn in this case, and I think it's reasonable
not to warn by default. There are lots of nonportable things in the
GNU core utilities, so why warn about this usage in particular?
