I'm guessing the next release is intended to be 2.73?
(...seeing the tags 2.72a and 2.72b)
Also, renumbering the m4sh diversions might be worth
mentioning in NEWS (...just in case anyone *has* been
depending on them, even though we've been told NOT to... :)
