[Bug-AUCTeX] Help with installing AucTeX 11.84 - sorted!

Dear AucTeX developers,

with reference to my previous query, I think in teh meantime I managed to sort 
out my problem.  I apparently only needed to enable the option

--with-lispdir=/etc/emacs/

to my ./configure command in order to have Emacs recognising AucTeX.  
Apologies for being a nuisance on this, and once more: thank you for your
