I found the following sections of this week's DWN, interesting for us:
Petter Reinholdtsen [1]suggested to hold a debian-installer [2]work camp
in two or three months time. If there is sufficient interest a low-cost
meeting will be held, probably in Europe, to push installer development
forward. Currently two locations are being discussed, in
[3]Einschlingen and in [4]Oldenburg, both
located in Germany.

Debian and Unicode Support. Sergey Spiridonov [5]wondered whether
Debian aims to produce a system that properly supports unicode
encoding. This is not an official release goal but it is a worthwhile
goal nevertheless. Adrian von Bidder [6]explained that submitting a
patch will in most cases help more in getting support fixed or added
than a higher severity.
