[be] Where did my notes go?

I've just updated from Bibledit 4.0 to Bibledit-Gtk 4.2, and all my 
project notes aren't to be found. If I dig into the .bibledit folders 
(.bibledit/notes/data), I can see that the notes are there. However, 
Bibledit-Gtk cannot find them, and nor can Bibledit (the older version).

How can I get my notes back? I really need them for my work!
