Details:

When changing Preferences/Features,after entering a password and making a
choice, you are asked to restart.
Confirming it, it does not restart, after having booted Ubuntu 8.04 the first
time. You have to restart manually.

Choosing restart afterwards (without leaving Ubuntu) it works (not only once,
but several times)
