Follow-up Comment #2:

This is actually a matter of the Window manager, not Bibledit. The Window
manager differs between Ubuntu and Kubuntu and. One does work right, and the
other does not.

Be this so, I've made a small change in Bibledit to set the info window to
"Modal", in the hope that this does the trick even with less-than-optiomal
window managers like in Kubuntu.
