I'm pretty new to this whole telephony thing, so apologies if this is
a dumb question. I'm assimilating rapidly.
To build a CTI system with Bayonne ("press 1 to place an order", "key
in your credit card number followed by the # key", etc), I believe
that I need a hardware telephony card in the server with some API that
Bayone supports: according to the README, this would be Pika, Dialogic
(now Intel) or Voicetronix. I probably have 4 or 8 ports in mind
initially.
I assume that this board would therefore have to have 4 or 8 physical
phone sockets on the back, unless it can be fed from an ISDN line. In
either case, that means plugging it into the telephone network, which
I think means that it needs regulatory approval. Is anyone using
Bayonne in the UK and could advise on which hardware is so endowed?
