Absolutely it should go in.  I've just been too busy to do much lately
and won't be able to do anything with it until sometime next week or
week after at the earliest.  I was hoping you or Eric would be able to
shepherd it in, but if not, I can.  Looks like Colin has done a good
job so the shepherding should be minimal.  Thanks Colin for
implementing this - hopefully this will avoid some foot-shooting that
inevitably happens.  Also - thanks to Eric who initially suggested the
idea!  Good stuff.
