Under /usr/lib*?  That sounds strange to me.  The FreeBSD setup always
locates all avr-libc files under /usr/[local/]avr/{include,lib},
independent of the host architecture.  The GCC-installed files are
under /usr/[local/]lib/gcc/avr/4.1.0.
