The only thing i'm not sure about is timing issues. You can't have
true realtime behaviour on a non-RTOS on the host, while the JTAG ICE
offers realtime features.
However, other than overall debugging speed, as far as i understand
the JTAG protocol, there should be no timing dependencies in it except
minimal delay guarantees for certain things to happen.
