[avr-gcc-list] probelms with new avr-gcc from avr-freaks -elfcoff this time

Hi all,

I am now happily compiling and linking with avr-gcc 3.2 but like some other
guys as well, having problems with elfcoff.

With avr-gcc 3.0.2 I get:

elfcoff good.elf ./elfcoff good.cof good.sym
Ended

With avr-gcc 3.2 I get:

elfcoff bad.elf ./elfcoff bad.cof bad.sym
 : 826
  : 678
   : 563
    : 387
Error on parsing symbol      425 -> Type : 404x Desc :
s:r(1,3)=*(1,4)=k(0,2)
Ended

I was sniffing a bit into the elfcoff code and it looks quite messy to me.

Do you have any ideas what's the problem?

Is it a bug in elfcoff or in the way the elf file is created ?

If you want I can send you the results of some of my experiments for
elfcoff.
