distdir.am v1.47

I am getting

sed: 1: "1{h;s/./=/g;p;x}": extra characters at the end of x command
gmake: *** [distcheck] Error 1

which I think comes from

RCS file: /cvs/automake/automake/lib/am/distdir.am,v
retrieving revision 1.46
retrieving revision 1.47
diff -r1.46 -r1.47

This seems to make my NetBSD sed unhappy... Thoughts?
