Darn, we need another name: 'archive' is likely too common when automake
is going to put all files with that name in the distribution of each
package using Automake. No need to send another patch, but any other
good suggestions that fit in with the existing scripts?

I don't find arlib so bad, except that it sounds a bit like a library
rather than a program.

Suggestions appreciated.

There's already 'ylwrap' which makes me suggest 'arwrap'.

But I was trying to say that I have been through codesearch and only found
one clash (in an ancient version of gimp), but maybe codesearch hasn't good
enough coverage? There were certainly many files named 'archive', but I
found none in any directory that appeared to be used for automake auxiliary
files.

'arlib' ties it to lib, which is unfortunate. That said, I'm perfectly fine
with 'arlib' too...

Cheers,
Peter
