Okay, I have a fix for this, but it involves quite extensive changes
in filling and font locking code (the latter basically concerns a
merge of variables). If the release of AUCTeX 11.80 is something like
two weeks away, I might check it in now, so that it gets some testing.
If the release is round the corner, I spare the patch for later.
