Given that I have dropped the plan to distribute any
preview-latex-only tarball anymore, it seems to make more sense if
common files like configure.ac, macros.texi and probably also
mkinstalldirs and install-sh (currently duplicated) are only placed
into the top instead of the preview hierarchy.
Objections?
