Fluendo have a Java applet based Vorbis/Theora player. Not sure if it
does playlists or not.
I think it might be scriptable via Javascript.
I used it once and was reasonably impressed.

I had a slight problem with audio playback if another program was
currently playing but I suspect that is more to do with Java or my
version of Gnu/Linux (or the sound driver).
