For Linux, I'm using this, which even selects the project:

alr config --set --global editor.cmd 'emacs 
--eval=(ada-build-prompt-select-prj-file"${GPR_FILE}") ${GPR_FILE}'

(Don't put a space after ada-build-prompt-select-prj-file in order not 
to break alire parsing of the command line. Fortunately, Emacs supports 
it in that peculiar way).
