Q: Does Traverso work on non Linux operating systems?
A: Sure!

Q: Wow, also on Windows?
A: Yep.

Q: So, why aren't there packages (yet) ?

Heh, good question. There are some problems on Mac OS X with the holding
actions, and with linux on a ppc too.
In fact, on Windows it didn't work at all! (the holding actions that is)

A nice and good working feature for hold actions is "grabbing" the mouse.
If the mouse leaves the widget, the hold action still works!
I had to disable this to make hold actions work on Windows, though it's
clearly a bug or something similar, since it should work without problems!
(why else would there be the option in Qt to grab the mouse, right ?)

Nicola, you could perhaps try it out to see if it makes any difference on
Mac OS X and linux-pcc!

Disable the lines 228 - 232 in InputEngine.cpp

As for the Windows 'port', there are more problems on Windows then the
holding actions, maybe solvable, but it honestly seems that Linux is doing
a much better job in memory management, as well as other stuff (including
the widget painting stuff!).
But if you like to see Traverso working and usable on Windows too, let me
know please! (and patches are accepted ;-) )

Have a nice day,

Remon
