Thanks for your reply.

I have just converted again, using the latest dev. snapshots on Windows
Vista.

The Chinese characters appear not right. I just attached a screenshot of a
corner here to compare against the source document.

Works nicely on my system. Could you provide more information?
What's your operating system? Also, what's your freetype version?
