I've had a look into the source code and wrote a patch, hope it helps.
(By the way, should stuff like this go to the "Patches" page or directly to the 
bug as an attachment? I'm a little confused right now.)

Summary:  unable to modify canned responses in bug admin

Original Submission:  When I try to modify one of my canned responses in the 
bug admin, all I get is an SQL error message stating that there is an error in 
the SQL query near "title='" (and so on).
>From what I can say, this is not related to special characters since the 
>responses I tried it with contain nothing special except for linebreaks and
