hi samizdat-devel,

i'm installing samizdat on a fedora core 2 system (not my fault!).

Generally things seem OK, though many of the small ruby libraries seem to be absent, so i added several of them in by compiling from source.

Here are a few notes. # (the comments are for comparison only)

After an hour or so trying to work out why differencing in the wiki
history failed, i realised that algorithm/diff.rb was missing and that
this only caused a "soft fail". This is probably a Good Thing since it's
not important enough that it should force a full failure, and it should
be easy for a developer to pick out what went wrong.

i installed version 0.4 of algorithm/diff.rb which is in this debian
package:

libalgorithm-diff-ruby1.8

cheers
