Follow-up Comment #2, bug #55776 (project octave): The note about the Java installation occurs pretty often on the mailing list and might not be the root of trouble. At startup after installation Octave does not call any important Java-routines, unless invoked by the user. One item made me suspicious in your rtf-file: "com.igware.ccdi". Some web search shows malware reports about Acer cloud in conjunction with this item: https://www.hybrid-analysis.com/sample/f257f1cb4047057e968c26022a30a9bc5ce3ad5d6e970e66c75ee864e41008fa?environmentId=100 Question: Do you run an Acer device with some kind of Acer cloud? Maybe the Windows System integration does some trouble on your system... *just blind guessing* _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55776> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
