Follow-up Comment #6, bug #55654 (project octave):

If that is the case then Guillaume will need to try installing something like
the Nouveau drivers for NVIDIA hardware, switch to that, and see if it makes a
difference.

Given that other platforms aren't seeing it, I suspect that will fix it.
