Thanks for the feedback.

However, running the regression tests, the patch becomes more complex. So I've 
decided to push to the emacs-29 branch just a minimalistic patch, which fixes 
your use case. See appended.

The full patch will go to the Emacs master branch only, which becomes Emacs 30.
