Details:

Color images are commonly defined in the Red-Green-Blue space. But when you
want to select certain colors (not pure Red, Green or Blue), it is much easier
to work in the HSV space <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSL_and_HSV>.

The Wikipedia page contains a converter algorithm
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSL_and_HSV#Converting_to_RGB> to and from RGB.
