I just tried this and it works for me with the latest sources from master
branch. Although it acts a little strange when i try to create something
like this:
/home/user.name/test1/test2
After pressing F7 several times it selects only ".name/test1" or the whole
string.

I have to note that this feature is not intuitive, I wouldn’t know of it if
i didn't saw Piotr's email. There is a help button, but there is no mention
about this there. Anyway, maybe a tool-tip for this dialog would be more
helpful.
