Ahh, well :-) all improvements from David Chester had been implemented with the CVS sources, but there was a bug in the implementation of the "blue scale optimisation". David Chester provided a fix for it but I couldn't accept it because it had the potential to break the rendering in rare cases. That's this last fix I was referring too.
