I have looked carefully at the hints in the otf and pfb files and as far as I can tell they are exactly the same (as I think they should be). The character "O" is fairly easy to check, it has only four hints and they do not overlap.

Can someone at freetype look into this? I am prepared to believe that I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it might be.

(I do see that I've got the post table offset by 1 so that all the glyphs have the wrong names, but that is unlikely to affect the rasterization.)
