Hi,
TTF can not only provide numerous charsets/encodings, but also specify which of
them are supposed to be used. Windows font property extention is capable of
giving this info. What would be an analog functionality (set of functions or
demo/util) in freetype?
This info is very much necessary for the use with the fonts under development
with bad or incomplete sets. At the moment, ttmkfdir or mkttfdir do too good of
a job retreaving all extentions by just matching glyph codes (not sure about
this).
This functionality, specific endoding names, is very much worth adding to
ftdump to by comparable to Windows tools, I think.
