I know there are several folks here with Pioneer DVR-103 and 104 (sometimes
called A03 and A04). These are reported to work.
SOME DVD burners are reported to be troublesome or non-working under Linux. I'm
not aware of a webpage with a maintained list of "tested" burners so there is a
lot of un-navigated territory.
No one here (AFAIK) has tried the Sony combo-burner. I would not buy one to use
under Linux, yet... unless you were assured it would work (or you can live with
burning under Windows). It sounds like a great drive.
