Bayonne (http://www.gnu.org/software/bayonne) is part of the effort to bring scalable telephony services to free operating systems, for both current and next generation phone networks. Bayonne is the voice application services daemon for gnucomm, as well as for GNU Enterprise. Bayonne is actually fairly mature and usable already to create telephony services for small use, for commercial entities, and even commercial carriers.
