I'm quite skeptical. But I have no time to bench that.

Well, rather than re-inventing the wheel, I suppose we'd rather look at
all the already existing solutions, like databases and their ACID
properties.

But, once again, I prefer doing the XML stuff right now. I though you
were interested in it?
