Re: [certi-dev] Declaration Management Services

Hi,

It would be good to hack CERTI code, but its a lot of stuff, and I don't have time to do it. The framework is (and will be) both 1.3 and 1516 compatible (hopefully evolved also). And I am making tests using commercial, fully compatible (or claimed so) RTIs. For CERTI, I am using latest stable version ( 3.3.3 ).

For the time being, framework implements basic services for federates like creating/joining federations, publishing/subscribing objects/interactions, sending/receiving object updates etc.

I think I will be able to release a special version of RToolkit which can be used with CERTI in a couple of weeks (for the interested CERTI people), of course with only services available in CERTI. For the others, I will wait for them to be implemented in CERTI. The most urgent ones for me are the RTI initiated services related with the interactions and synch points now.

And also I would like to know future timeline for the IEEE 1516 compatibility and MOM implementation.

thanks.

hakan.

That's good to know.
We will try to help you to make it work with CERTI.

That's true not all notification services are implemented.
In fact there is an unfinished task concerning this activity
https://savannah.nongnu.org/task/?6893

I would say that advisory switches are implemented but...
there is only one callback implemented which is:
startRegistrationForObjectClass.

I think Christian did not had time to finish the work, and I do not
know if someone is ready to continue the work.

Would you like to try  to resume his work?

We should have this list somewhere I'll try to dig this and tell you
more about that.
In the meantime the easiest way to get an answer is to dive into the code :-)
Or ask on the list as you did.

On your side, do you have a list of needed services for the RToolkit to work?

Are you using CERTI 3.3.3 or a CVS version?
