Don't let that worry you. I do not use alpha releases rigorously. You
will see that 20141122 is on: ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parallel and is in
fact the newest release.

I completely agree, and I have spent the last 5 minutes under the
shower (which is where I get my best ideas) to see if I could come up
with a scenario where it is desirable to have the trailing space be
meaningful. I found none.
So I have changed GNU Parallel to remove trailing space in sshlogins.
