On the license issue, I am looking closely at the CPL.
Some main questions concern indemnification by 3rd
party contributors: you put your code out there, you get
back some useful-looking addition, you merge it back
into the code base, two years later somebody you 
never heard of files a lawsuit claiming that you damaged
his business by infringing his intellectual property in
some way, and he suffered $XX million in damages,
but punitive damages should be added because companies
like AT&T need to "get a clue."  Shortly afterward some V.P.
asks you to forward a copy of your risk-reward analysis
for open source software release.  etc.
