Actually it filters it ;-) It would rather say this filters out the
cycle counter. But I am not a native speaker either ;-)

Along with this new vcpu feature you may want to add a test like what
was done in 68970d1e0d07 ("hw/arm/virt: Implement kvm-steal-time"), in
tests/qtest/arm-cpu-features.c
