[Linphone-users] Obtaining higher video resolution

Hi;

I have Linphone voice and video working on IPv6 network, Fedora 7 with source code from Linphone-2.0.1.tar.  I'd like to thank Linphone community a lot for the great code!

The video camera I'm using is QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam which is capable of capturing up to 1600x1200 resolution. In actual operation, it does not look like that video displayed  is in full resolution and about 300~400Kbps bandwidth is consumed to transfer voice and video.

What I'd like to explore is to increase the video resolution and video window size. I have about 1 ~ 1.5Mbps bandwidth budget for video and ready to buy new camera. My question is that how the video resolution and bandwidth for video are configured in Linphone. Are they dependent only on camera or do I need better video codec?

Any tip on this is appreciated.
