Interesting.
I've never heard about such a bug, on my debian unstable it does not produce (but it does not mean that Mandrake9.2 is responsible for the bug at all ! some bugs can remain completely hidden on some circumstances).
Did you compile linphone from source, or install a binary rpm ?
Could you please send me a gdb report, so that we can see where it crashes ?
In order to do that simply type:
gdb linphone
run
<then do the action to produce the crash>
bt full

and copy and paste gdb's output into an email to me.

Can You suggest any test to find out what is wrong?
