Thank you for the hint; as far as I can say most of the error is caused by the interaction of the Eiffel profiler with the rest of the runtime.

My knowledge of the runtime is sketchy at best and I fear of not being able to fix it.

I think it may be worth to try to port at least deep_twin into pure Eiffel. This requires to use introspection. I have digged an unfinished pure Eiffel tentative implementation of deep_twin.

Let me see if I am able to make it work.
