I'm beginning to think that I'm too old to be chasing after and
waiting a piece of software that has been dormant/struggling all
these years.

I went through that with Wirth and his Oberon System, and Oberon2,
and on and on - getting nowhere fast. IMHO, its was /because/ they
wanted to commercialise the thing. Same happened with Smalltalk.
Too many players! Divide and die!

I don't feel like going down that road again! Good luck with your
"resurrection" efforts everybody.
