Thanks for the reply! this was not the problem the statement was logically
sound, however...
I just figured it out I adjusted the q(3,i), which is an angle, to be always
between 2pi and zero at the END of the for loop. So when the statement is
evaluted the value was larger than 2pi, but the data I could see afterwards
was 2pi smaller so afterwards evaluation read the statement true while in
the loop it did not.
Silly me
