Hmmmmmm :(.

The command "octave --no-gui-libs" seems not to kill fltk graphics_toolkit, 
which is also based on OpenGL.


Final try,
> octave --eval "graphics_toolkit gnuplot" --no-gui-libs --persist


BTW, as a reference, which graphics card are you using?
